Is It AI Written

How we check

This is the standard every page on the site follows. It's written to match what the reading communities themselves ask for. In July 2026, r/RomanceBooks changed its rules so that a question of "is this AI?" needs at least two different types of evidence. We hold ourselves to the same bar, and we show our work.

What counts as evidence

A detector score is one type of evidence and it can be wrong. It's never the headline.

What we say

Every page carries one of these lines. The line is computed from the evidence, not written by hand.

Why the opening chapters aren't enough

Readers keep reporting the same thing: an AI-assisted book often starts fine and falls apart later. So a sample from the free preview counts for less than one from the middle or the end, and we ask where in the book a sample came from.

Authors

If you wrote a book on this site, you can reply. Your statement goes at the top of the page in your words, with a link. You can ask for a re-scan with samples you choose, and you can ask us to take a page down. We answer within 48 hours.

What we don't do

We don't store the text readers paste. We don't scrape bookstores. We don't sell a tool that hides AI writing. We don't call a book AI-written on the strength of a score.
